Re: ExPerience contributors
Yeah... everybody has a story. Those writers obviously get paid, probably a couple hundred bucks per article. I wrote for the org at one time, and it wasn't worth my time. So are you seeing what they would write for a buck, or are you getting an honest end users opinion? Guarantee you these guys don...

Re: data management
I just wanted some behind the scenes info that isn't immediately obvious by using the software. Any info about how the db is structured would be welcome.

data management
I have only used Onshape for a couple of hours doing some basic tutorial stuff. I'm interested in how it manages part, assembly and drawing information. I'm assuming that using the word "files" is the wrong way to look at it. It all goes into a database? Where individual parts exist by lin...

Pay attention. It's the age thing. Relevant experience in the 1990s? Geez, must be OLD.the_h4mmer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 20, 2022 6:54 am If you're getting so many recruiting messages, why do you think you're not able to get another interview?

Re: Rant - experienced frustration
Yeah... I'm pushing 60 and I have a ton of injection mold design experience. I've been looking for a job for 3-4 years, and I had one interview (2 years ago) for which I was WAY over qualified. Other than that, I can't even get interviews. I think the_h4mmer 's analysis is way off. Employers have so...

Re: CloudWorks
I'm reading lots of impending doom speak for "solidworks" as a legacy desktop product... - killed off PDMW - killed off home use license - killed off network license - killed off draftsight - killed off SWWorld - killed off SW forum I don't know, you tell me what direction it's going. The...

Re: New SW CEO
People in Europe like to be independent too, but we couldn't afford the major investment for other 3D CAD software in the year 2000. And to be honest, this was the main reason for many users, and only choice for small companies. The decisions taken by Dassault aren't typical French schooled, I have...

Re: New SW CEO
The people who work at SW just have a job to do, and they do it. It's just a job. Difficulty arises when some old timers remember why we bought Solidworks instead of Pro/E, and it was because of the freedom, flexibility, and independence it afforded us. Pardon my saying so, but freedom and independe...

Re: New SW CEO
My hope is that they realize that 3DX isn't going to replace SW, and if they don't put some resources back into SW they will lose that market. But from what I can tell, they've done nothing but $#!+ on their SW customers for the last few years, so that hope is likely unfounded. No, GPB is being mov...
