Second what Hansjoerg says. Don't make all the configs and copy the file, it's a PITA to remove all the unwanted configs from the copied files. There's no way to copy a single config to new file. We have a little difficulty with that. The settings in the registry for the automatic user login are always reset. Probably MS Intunes has its fingers in the pie.

The sleep function is definitely an option I will try out.
In my distress I already put the OpenDoc6 method into a Do Loop Until loop, and took the variable Longerrors as exit condition, but unfortunately this led to an endless loop.
If nothing helps I have to send the problem to the API support.
