Hi,
Unfortunately, it combines the parts after you add a new study so this is a one and done fix so may have to rename files with a -1,-2,-3, etc to get it to work with multiple studies.

Re: Simulations Grouping Identical Parts Unselectable?
Hi all,
Found the Solution, you need to not create a cut list automatically (uncheck 1 & 2) and then delete the cut list and all the bodies are treated separately.
You will have to start a new simulation to get it to work.

Jim

You could probably write a macro that recorded all of the mates in assembly 1, and then applied as many matched in assembly 2. The exploded view information would probably be a separate step. Have you tried copy/pasting the feature/configuration? If it 'works', it most likely won't give you the desired result but the jist of it should be done. Copying a Exploded view from 1 file to another
Hi all,
I have a file with an exploded view and a totally separate file with 70-85% the same parts and want to know is there a way to copy it to the new file.
I know you can copy from 1 configuration to another but have not seen anything to do what I am asking.

Jim

I looked in the help files and no answers, hence me putting out the question. got a case into GoEngineer, but got told to make a case so maybe 2-3 days from now I will get a answer or not.
This shouldn't be that difficult to fix or it is simply not an option to change it.
