Can we add a Sigma Tube place? Are there other users of sigma tube?
Seems to be a pretty janky piece of software on my suppers PC and I'd like to try and iron out some of the wrinkles

Re: Which solidworks version did you think was best? 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021
2018 by far. Something happened with 2019 where Solidworks went from being a useful tool to a product that spent most of the day showing that "Solidworks is busy." Autosave has been off since the release of 2019, because that is the only way the software was usable. Otherwise it would spe...

SortaWorks Admin Portal
Is anyone else having issues logging into the Admin Portal? Our VAR (Go engineer) claims that something is up with the page which is causing out activation issue and making it impossible to revert the license in question to machine activation.
Thoughts?

It should still work for a few more months, but yes they are discontinuing it. https://cadforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=868 Thanks matt! I wonder if they are going to update the SW web page first. I can see it now, 100s of people converting standalones to onlines and then pffft. I read somewhe...

SW Online Licensing
Coworker's PC just came up with a error message about Online activation not working. I've been poking around the internet and I cant seem to find any information on it. Except for a snapshot of a picture stating that online licesnse was or is being cancled. So it looks like Online licenses are a thi...

Re: Perferated Sheet-How To

Re: Perferated Sheet-How To
Does this absolutely have to be real geometry or could it be cosmetic? If you have RealView graphics enabled you can use Appearances>Miscellaneous>Pattern (or 3D Textures) which will look quite realistic if the mapping is set correctly. Your hardware (and future coworkers!) will thank you. I believ...

Re: Perferated Sheet-How To
That trick you mentioned, try an assembly freature pattern and combine with subtract. thats how I normally do my patterns but this particular cutomer wanted the pattern to originate out from the center, like a fill pattern would do. Face palm

Perferated Sheet-How To
Hey all, Maybe my work PC is a touch weak, but I need to make a perferated sheet 4ft*10ft* with a 1" border, using .375" SQ. holes on .625" spacing. Square pattern. Ive tried a number of things but it just brings my PC to its knees. I have tried: Feature; Fill pattern. (Awesome contro...
