The SIMULIA guys probably have capability to import the SW parts or assemblies straight into 3DX through the thick client but at that point they will be converted to 3DX native objects (dumb solid) so if you change the geometry in SW, they will need re-importing as a new object.

This functionality is also in CATIA. To get close to this in SWX, I am currently looking at using Envelope Components and switching on the External Reference option to only allow references to be created to Envelope Components. This is the closest I can find, I think this setting only came in SW2020...

Each customer that adopts the 3DX Platform is designated their own SWYM Community. In that community will be DS employees including R&D, the relevant VAR employees and of course the customer platform members. The community can be used for enhancement requests or raising any problems etc.
