Hmm, troubling. We also use a third-party PDM provider (Pulse PLM) so hopefully we won't have a similar problem.

Apparently XPLM can do it without SW PDM, though the recommended config (for us, at least) was to still use SW PDM anyway.

Yeah I just checked the help documentation to remind myself and Envelopes have been around since at least 2010. Might have been some refinements in the mean time but the core functionality is hardly recent.

In SW23 I get the same message all the way up the tree apart from positioning it directly under the Origin. Are you trying to drop the sketch somewhere arbitrary in the tree?

Seems like templates have a Y-up / Z-up tickbox option. I'm wondering if importing parts from a Z-up system could easily be rotated to Y-up by getting tricksy with the templates.

Presumably the logic is you don't need to find the thing you've just right clicked on as you know where it is?
