Convert all edges in solid
Convert all edges in solid
Getting back to SW after 4+ years. I'm finding a few old tricks don't seem to work...
In a 3D sketch, how does one select all edges in a solid for Convert Entities?

Re: Convert all edges in solid
Turn on edge filter, green box select (right to left) and convert entities.

Select one edge, Ctrl+A, then select Convert Entities.
Edit: By the way, I'm pretty sure I learned that from @Alin in a class at SW World 2016 in Dallas.

Seemes like I tried these things and they didnt work. They do now. Thanks for scaring SW into compliance.

Belay that...
Works fine in a single part. Does not work when copying one body's edges in context of an assembly.

Re: Convert all edges in solid
No, it doesn't. I didn't know you were working in an Assembly. As far as I know your best option will be to:
1. Start a new 3d sketch in the component.
2. Use the method above to select the edges and convert entities, close and Hide the sketch.
3. Go back into the Assembly and start a new 3d sketch.
4. Select Convert Entities.
5. Select the 3d Part sketch from the tree.
(I just checked and this works.)
Of course all this is assuming this is less trouble than selecting the edges individually. I don't know how complex the Part is.

Re: Convert all edges in solid
Seems to take only one face from the solid.

Re: Convert all edges in solid
To clarify, if you're in an active 3d sketch, select a single edge, hit Ctrl+A, then select "Convert Entities", you're getting only the edges of one face converted? I'm asking because it sounds like you're selecting a face instead of edges.

No. This is when I select sketch from a tree.
