I'm planning a small session at the office for people who are totally beginners at CAD.
My current plan is to introduce them to some core concepts:
Sketches
Line/point constraints
Features as in extrusion, removal, revolve, fillet etc.
Right now my idea is to design two simple structure: a dice and a vase.
My idea is that with a dice I have a super easy construction as it's just a cube but I can also showcase removal for the dots and also fillet and chamfer for the edges.
And then if there's time I could show how to design a vase. This would showcase a more freeform design, possibly with splines and an offset and then using revolve rather than normal extrusion.
My only concern is that these project could be a bit boring perhaps? We have a 3D-printer at the office so it would be fun if they could make something that they would want to print.
So my question to you is, do you have any better ideas? Anything else you think I should consider?
What are some good small projects for a beginner's session?

What does the company make? What they'll be designing?
A table, cabinet assembly that is parameter (SSP/Master Skeleton) driven.

What is the point of this? Is everyone in the company going to start doing CAD..?

To Alex's point, the presentations would need to be different for non-technical people vs. people that are going to be learning to do 3D modeling. If you want these people to start learning to model then the built-in SWX tutorials are terrific.
Brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls aren't there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to show us how badly we want things.
