Could you please explain how to simply draw juste the hole?
Are there any tools in SolidWorks to achieve this, or perhaps a mathematical formula I could use?
It involves two parallel segments representing two chords. I'm afraid my approach might be too simplistic, so I'm seeking expert advice.

I can't think of a specific tool to create this directly.

I would draw a 10mm circle sketch; two parallel lines (chords) 8.5mm apart; then trim away the unwanted portions. The parallel lines need to be symmetrical about the diameter.

Maybe I'm not understanding your question correctly but what's so complicated about that...? Can you show your attempts..? Perhaps that would give us a better idea of the complexity you are facing.
