Articles on CAD forums?

Unread post by MJuric »

So I was doing some Googling to see what caused this forum to pop up. I'm wondering if it would be worth contacting some CAD magazines or similar that are on the Web and let them know this forum exists.

I ran into https://www.engineeringclicks.com/solid ... rum-top-5/ Looks to me that this forum is more active than any of the ones mentioned and might create some more traffic if you can get the forum in some articles.

Just a thought.

I have a feeling we're on a lot of people's radars right now. I'm going to guess that people are waiting to see what happens after April 2. Do we implode? Do we explode? Did DS underestimate it users? Did ML underestimate DS? Wait and see...

But, yeah, if you have a way to get links on other related sites (and it's ethical and doesn't seem too cheesy) that's a great way to get the word out.

And by the way, what did you find on your google search?

This site is not showing up for "Generic" searches like "Solidworks Forum" or "Solidworks Help". If you search for something rather specific that is already "Content" here this forum does show up.

I'm scraping stuff. I found this list, authored by Fatih Mehmet Ozcan
Maybe we can cross-refer to promote.
Many of these blogs are also VAR's. I did not filter them out. This is a good list of resources also.

Thanks for creating the lists. I agree it would be great to get links on a lot of sites. I don't think resellers are going to play along, since we promote stuff other than SW. But if you guys have relationships with some of these sites, maybe make an introduction, suggest that they sponsor us, or just allow a link, or do an interview... There are a lot of forms support can take.
