Feature History (Whodunnut?)

Unread post by josh »

In case you ever wonder who did something in this particular SolidWorks file, I present the "History" macro. It will output to Excel the feature properties of each feature in the tree. Name, username of creator, date created, and date last modified. Feature properties exist for all file types, but for some reason they are only available in the UI for parts. This macro works for all document types.

I recall making a similar tool many moons back, and that was destroyed with the crashed drive :(

Thank you for sharing.

Well lot of stuff was lost, along with some wonderful macros and standalone tools. But I think it is part of life!!
