ex-Subscription question

So,

As we have discussed, my subscription ended on March 1st. So, the latest version of SolidWorks that I have is 2024 SP1.0.

I typically don't use SWx before about SP3, so I'm still using v2023 PS5.0.

Has anyone, who ended subscription, been able to get later SP's from their VAR after the subscription ended?

Now that v2024 SP3.0 is out, I'm thinking about asing my VAR if they could send me a copy.

AFAIK, can't work. Your SN is locked in the SW central brain to the last version and SP that were available when you went off maintenance.

Just for laughs I sent my ex-VAR a e-mail asking if I could get access to v2024 SP3.1

Just got off the phone with the VAR. Even if I did have the installables, it wouldn't install because I'm not "entitled" to that version.

So there you go.

My story,,, I have 2020 and had been off subscription for a couple of years. I was at SP2 when I had a motherboard problem so I had to get a new desktop. I called my VAR and they sent me a link to 2020 SP5. I have been a happy camper since. I'm still off subscription.

I don't doubt it.

Can't say I'm surprised at the response. They have done me no favors in the past.
