Cannot copy a pattern on a drawing

Unread post by perotto »

Hi, everyone,

I need to copy a pattern of lines on a drawing. For this, I use 'Sketch Tools -> Copy' with 'Keep relations' box checked. However, the copied lines do not act like a pattern anymore - they loose their dependencies and are separate from each other. How to copy a pattern correctly?

Use sketch pattern instead in drawings.

Could you, please, clarify, what the 'Sketch pattern' is? Initially, I used 'Linear Sketch Pattern' tool in 'Sketch'. If you mean creating a copy via the same 'Linear Sketch Pattern' tool, it will not be independent from the initial pattern.

Sorry reread your initial post. I think the best would be to make a block of the lines and then pattern the block using copy/paste method.
