Please Create a PowerMill Board on Here!!!
Please Create a PowerMill Board on Here!!!
The Autodesk PowerMill forum is borderline unusable. I would like to see two PowerMill boards on here after the fashion of the old Delcam forum: One board for general PowerMill questions, one board for PowerMill macros and automation.
Please join me in asking the Admin of this site for this by leaving a post on this thread.
Thanks!
David Adam

I doubt Matt would be against it if there is incentive towards it.
Re: Please Create a PowerMill Board on Here!!!
I came here specifically to request a Powermill board

This is awesome! Thank you guys for signing up, and for visiting it! I will do my best to get other users over here to truly make it worth while and as successful as the Delcam forum was!
Re: Please Create a PowerMill Board on Here!!!
Your post was what got my attention in the autodesk forums. Looking forward to it.

Awesome! Let's make this more successful than theirs!

Re: Please Create a PowerMill Board on Here!!!
As long as we're asking, any PowerSHAPE users out there that would be interested in a board? The Autodesk PowerSHAPE forum is pretty dead, but then again they are not really developing it much and I guess some poeple have moved on to either Fusion or another solid modeler.
Re: Please Create a PowerMill Board on Here!!!
I had thought about that too, but i dont know enough about powershape to try to run a forum and scare up interest in that. my guess is autodesk mothballs powershape in the next 5 years...
Re: Please Create a PowerMill Board on Here!!!
If you can get 2 more people to ask for PowerSHAPE, I'll do it. It's a harder sell than PowerMill, but we've got other areas that aren't very active as well.standardpattern wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 11:54 am As long as we're asking, any PowerSHAPE users out there that would be interested in a board? Re: Please Create a PowerMill Board on Here!!!
Five years will be long enough or me, retirement is within that window.Powershape works fine for what I do, so I don't really have any complaints. I'm sure there could be improvements, but off the top of my head I don't know what they would be. I am sure if I had experience with other solid modelers, I would see the holes in powershape, but it is all that we've ever used since the days of DUCT.

Wow! I have to say thank you to the PowerMill crowd for all of the new registrations in the last week!
I encourage you to look around at what this forum has to offer. You need to have your first two posts approved (for spam control reasons) and then all of the features are available to you.
You can add images, uploads/downloads, attachments, call out other board users, smilies, mark correct answers, private messages, polls, different templates./skins, avatars, signatures, and a few other things.
I'm the admin here. The fastest way to get in touch is just to mention my name with the @ symbol, so @matt will get my attention.
I'm a CAD guy, and don't have much to say about CAM. My other site is in my signature below.
There aren't too many rules. Just treat people respectfully and advertising can be paid for, but you shouldn't expect to just advertise to fellow forum members for free. This place is really for users.
