This is a housing for a split bearing. I have a display state (not the default) that only shows 1/2 of the bearing housing. For most views I want the full bearing displayed. I am trying to create a section view of this part, and failing. (W11, SW2023 Sp5.)
I get two options when creating the section view. Despite the fact that the property manager says the view is referencing the display state which shows both parts, it is only showing me 1/2.
I can change the display state to "HALF" and then change it back to defualt. This gives me both halves, but only one is sectioned.
(ETA: As a rule, I do not do multibody parts. This is an extremely rare exception being done at the request of the machine shop. Maybe there is a trick to section MBP that I am unaware of.)

Re: Display States and Section Views
I found a fix. I turned off "Display Surface Bodies" and it displayed as expected. I turned DSB back on and it still displayed as expected. One more workaround to the list of SW "features."

Re: Display States and Section Views
Looks like you got it to work. I don't do section views very often but I can't say that I remember ever running into an issue as you have stated.
