ProRender and Solidworks
WellI'm puzzled that there isn't a forum for the ProRender addin , I have switched to the WX5100 8 gig video card in Solidworks 2018 SP5 and having a real good time. Here are a few of first renders.
DIN rail mount RF isolators
Here is an office design done in ProRender.
Enclosure design with warning light
UPS design
The latest Prorender the tanks and the piping all made in Solidworks. then PRO rendered for the Document.

Re: ProRender and Solidworks
AMD provides the Plugin for free for those who use the WX series of PRo render video cards AMD makes and it allows GPU rendering similar to Nvidia
The nice thing about the AMD video cards in this series is they are all Certified for SolidWorks!!

Re: ProRender and Solidworks
Craig,
How does it compare with Visualize and KeyShot? Any experience with them? Honestly, I fell in and out of love with Visualize. I have an NVIDIA Quadro RTX4000 and after doing near-real-time rendering workflow, I just can't go back to PhotoView (my first love, and baby :-)). Now, I'm disgusted with Visualize; it is the most buggy piece of software that I have encountered in the last decade. I just purchased a license of KeyShot Pro now that they are supporting RTX.

I have used Visualize and Keyshot in the past more, both are good as well. I currently am using a WX5100 8gig video card in my system so that is whymbiasotti wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 10:41 pm Craig,

I use PRO Render.
My favorite render environment is UREAL 4.26 with the Datasmith tool to import SolidWorks, which is real time! and free to use! Hope that answers some of your question.
