So, anyone seen Google's A.I. called Gemini's famous quotes? There's some pretty wild ones from it's releases, the A.I. seems very 'woke'.

I was thinking pretty much the same. I think this is why AI is such a scary thing, kind of like nuclear energy, because it could be used in awful ways

This old man could use some help for a very minor issue. I was typing a response on a an internet site (completely unrelated to SW) and attempting to underline some text. Somehow (I think I mistakenly held down Ctrl while hitting the -/_ key), and all the text got smaller. I've closed that tab and re-opened it, and now every page related to that site has the smaller text. Any ideas on how to fix it?

I tried Googling the issue with no luck.

For the love of hidden keyboard short cuts! Try ctrl plus the plus key, hold down control key and use scroll wheel on the mouse. Or depending on browser it might be in the settings/tools area.

Control 0 should reset to 100%

Alt + scroll wheel is also another thing you can use

CTRL + scroll wheel is generally the one that my dad gets. CTRL gets stuck and then scroll wheel zooms in/out until he bangs on the keyboard and out of coincidence hits the CTRL key. Then, he's stuck for a few days with the zoomed in screen until I visit him

Happy monday to yall, March is starting and spring seems around the corner for us, altough it generally is a month later. Hopefully there aren't too many people stranded with the weather conditions we had this weekend. The Blizzard that hit in California and Nevada hit 2 days earlier over here and it was pretty wild but definetly not as wild as what the States are getting.

I think it's safe to say spring has arrived in SE Texas.

Feels like a month early in WI too. Winter (what there was of it) left the soil as dry as it found it. Usually when the frost comes out the soil is very soggy, this year the top is dusty dry most places. There was very little frost this year, doubt more than a foot for more than a week if that.

Last weekend we thankfully had no wild fires or blizzards, mostly sunny and very windy. At this point I would almost welcome two feet of heavy, wet, snow.

Did it involve cutting down a tree? I heard a few horror stories today about people trying to cut down trees resulting in injuries or ER visits...

Someone bumped into some shelves with the forklift. I was on the ground trying to push them back into place (butt on the floor, back against one of the vertical members) when a smallish chunk of aluminum fell on me. There was no trauma, no blow to the head, but it created a 3" gash that bled like someone had opened up a faucet. No chainsaws were involved.

I've spent most of the last few weeks on one of the most difficult projects I've done in the 15 years I've been doing this kind of work. I've gotten the information piece meal, and the client drawings I'm working from are awful. At one point it calls for three rebar stirrups spaced at 20", spanning 2' 6". It's been a long time since I went to school, but I'm pretty sure that should be 40", and that's just one example.

To top if off, the engineer in charge of the project has asked me to highlight the portions of the drawing I'm unsure about when I send it to him. I had supper with my daughter last night, and was telling her about it while we were discussing what's going on in our lives. She suggested printing it on yellow paper. I must have raised that girl right.

We had the opportunity to head a few hours south this weekend and enjoy the Texas Hill Country. It always surprises me how much a few hours drive can make in what season you are in. Our bluebonnets are just starting here in the Dallas area, but the ones down near Fredericksburg, TX are well are their way. So, for all y'all up north, a bit of hope. Spring is coming.

The picture shows bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush (orange). Texas is proud of our bluebonnets. They are a lupine, but these particular species are only found in Texas or the edges of the neighboring states.

They're at the peak bloom here, so of course people are pulling off the road (and sometimes not all the way off the road) so they can sit in the middle of them and take pictures.
