Easy 30 second answer to this question...
What are the file extensions for Solid Edge? Is SE creating .prt files like NX now or is it still a .par?
SE file extensions are still the same. I saw the same with ZEL X and in that video the icon clearly shows it as an NX file.

I wll say the reason I am asking is because of the recent Zel X product video that was uploaded to Siemens's YouTube channel. The Zel file is displayed as a .prt in the document management web app. I thought Zel X was all based on Solid Edge technology. It appeared to be except for that one thing. The .prt is the NX file extension.

SE can use NX files directly either by just opening them or by CAD Direct. I don't think this allows edit, but SE can use NX parts in an assembly, for example.
