That is awesome! I would love to be able to update error code messages on people sometimes......so that when the error comes up, they see this!! LOL
Looks like somebody wasn't on SolidWorks in 2004Glenn Schroeder wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 11:35 am Here's a sketch relation icon I don't believe I've seen before.

You're right. I didn't start until 2009.AlexLachance wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 3:31 pmLooks like somebody wasn't on SolidWorks in 2004Glenn Schroeder wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 11:35 am Here's a sketch relation icon I don't believe I've seen before.

That's a lost reference sketch relation icon.
I wish I had it somewhere, but I love when SolidWorks crashes, asks you to generate a report and send it, and the report crashes upon generation.
The pinkness is to show it is related to something you've selected I believe.Glenn Schroeder wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 3:41 pmYou're right. I've seen plenty of lost sketch relations with that hot pink icon, but it usually shows the relation type (coincident, colinear, etc) instead of the question mark.
That has not been my experience. To illustrate what I mean I made a simple extrude, put a circular cut through it, made a sketch with a circle with a co-radial relation and a line with a co-linear relation, then deleted the round extruded cut. The relation icons are all still there, and still showing the icon type, but the one with the missing reference is pink (along with the sketch circle) while the icon showing the intact reference is still green. This is the typical behavior I see with broken sketch references, not the icon with the question mark instead of the relation type I posted earlier.AlexLachance wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 3:46 pmThe pinkness is to show it is related to something you've selected I believe.Glenn Schroeder wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 3:41 pmYou're right. After looking up my colors, you are right. I treat unresolved and lost references as the same category, but it appears they are not.Glenn Schroeder wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 4:07 pmThat has not been my experience. When you select the Replace Component feature, an open Part will show in the box, but you still need to click on it to select it.
That seems counterintuitive. I'm sure you're right, but if I've selected something, I've already selected it. I shouldn't have to select it again.Glenn Schroeder wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 8:43 am When you select the Replace Component feature, an open Part will show in the box, but you still need to click on it to select it.
