Steel / aluminium profile to cnc

Unread post by kacper.suchomski »

The main role of CAD programs such as Autodesk Inventor is to support production - both through conceptual work, verification and analysis, through workshop documentation, and ending with files for CNC machines.

For years, welders and metalworkers have been successfully preparing structures from profiles with rounded corners using conventional tools. However, there are more and more CNC laser cutting machines for steel and aluminum profiles available on the market, which effectively speed up the production of components.

Inventor not only allows you to create the geometry of such a profile (steel or aluminum), but also allows automatic "straightening" of the geometry to obtain a prefabrication model, and even build a configurator using iLogic, which allows you to generate any variants and combinations of profiles in a matter of moments.

If you are curious about how to prepare a specially bent profile for a CNC cutting machine in Inventor - this video is for you.
