Tracking Notifications/Transitions in PDM?

How do you follow through on activities in a PDM Workflow such as a review? I can use a Delayed in State notification to tell me when an activity is past due, but how do you identify the responsible person? The next in line user receives the notification, but there doesn't seem to be a good way to track ownership. Is there anything in Dispatch that could capture the notification recipient(s) and populate a variable?
