Re: Fill up open path
The first picture is a boundary surface with curvature set at the edges. Not very good. The 2nd picture is the deviation analysis of the existing connections between faces. Pretty good where they need to be.
The 3rd picture uses a Fill surface where the open edge was closed by a 3d spline with equal curvature set on both ends.

Re: Fill up open path
I already tried the 3rd option with a 3D Spline and filled surface Still not very smoothmatt wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 5:26 pm The first picture is a boundary surface with curvature set at the edges. Here is what I got:
Boundary
Fill
I think we might need to trim something to get better results, but I don't know what is important to keep .-.

Re: Fill up open path
To make this better, I'd go back and make sure the existing surfaces are as good as possible, and then make some additional control curves.

Yep, or forget it all and just get the boundary that it fits with the guide curves. I checked what happens with Loft (forgot to use fit spline, SW in my laptop is jamming with this file)

Re: Fill up open path
Thank you for suggestion; however, this part is already in production which I'm not sure if the existing surface can be changed

Re: Fill up open path
I'm still running SW2020; can't check the curvature but I can see from the att. image
